More from LJ
LJ has issued another clarification, which actually clarifies things and introduces the notion of a warning before they delete a journal (for some classes of infractions). I'd be better satisfied if they hadn't previously issued what sounded at the time like reasonable clarifications which they then rescinded without warning, but this is a good first step, I think. It doesn't change much for me at this time, although if they stick to this, and there's a consistent improvement in the transparency and customer service at lj, I might be convinced to stay. Ultimately, I'm still hovering indecisively, waiting to see where (the majority of) fandom jumps.

LJ is like an abusive, drunken cheating boyfriend. He promises he'll change his ways if you just give him another chance but let him in the house and whack! He's drunk, abusive and cheating. They lost my trust over their sheer ineptitude and ain't getting it back quick. They have broken promises and violated their own rules before and nothing will prevent them from doing it again.

I plan to post fiction at IJ with links from JF and GJ. I will watch LJ but they are not getting my business except to suck up their bandwidth.

I think the folks who run lj just aren't very good at public relations. I do think that's something that could be fixed, but it would take time to build up my trust again. And if fandom migrates, I'll go with them, because I'm on lj for fandom, not for lj.
